Experience
Since high school, I have been striving to make mathematics fun and interesting for students of all levels. I pride myself in being able to convince even the most bored and uninterested students to share my point of view and see that is math is actually awesome! During my senior year of high school, I started approaching tutoring with a serious mindset, and was hired as a tutor for a private company. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Rockhurst University, where I moved into my next stage of tutoring in the university's learning center and as a supplemental instructor for a year. I was so intrigued by teaching that I even shadowed a local high school math teacher during my time at Rockhurst to better understand the teaching process. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining my Master of Arts in Mathematics at Saint Louis University, where I have had the privilege of teaching in their learning center for a long period of time. During this period, I have taught algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and more. I was very proud to be able to teach a section of college algebra, too. My specialty is definitely tutoring calculus, because it is something I love to do and I don't see why other people shouldn't be given the opportunity to feel the same way.
