Chris O.
Private tutor in Gladstone, MO
Education
Rockhurst University, BA in English and Philosophy (Dec. 2013)
Experience
1 year of tutoring at Gervais Learning Center at Rockhurst University. I enjoy tutoring because I see it as a way to both learn and teach at the same time. I would like to go to graduate school and become a Philosophy professor, and tutoring helps me hone in on my interpersonal communication skills and helps me to become a better teacher. I have taken over 10 English and Philosophy classes including: Advanced Composition, History and Structure of the English Language, Screenwriting, Rhetoric, Epistemology, Medieval Philosophy, Medical Ethics, Religion and Science, and many others. I was awarded a Dean's Undergraduate Fellowship for Research in the summer of 2013 in which I analyzed Stephen Jay Gould's NOMA (non-overlapping magisteria).
